The love ❤️ I have for my mother

Image
From the moment I opened my eyes to the world, she was there—my mother, Evelyn. With hands that worked tirelessly and a heart that overflowed with warmth, she built a home where love wasn’t just a feeling—it was the foundation of everything.                     There’s something unexplainable about the bond between a mother and child, but with my mom, it goes beyond even that. She wasn’t just the one who cared for me—she understood me, often without a word being said. When life felt heavy, her embrace was the safest place I knew. When I was lost in doubt, her voice brought clarity, like sunlight cutting through fog.              ...

The Dark Side Of Socal Media

Image
Sophie sat in her room, the glow of her phone lighting up her face as she scrolled endlessly through her social media feed. What started as a quick check of messages and notifications had turned into an hour of mindless scrolling. She paused as a post caught her attention—another influencer showcasing her "perfect" life. Sophie sighed. Her own life felt insignificant in comparison, like a fading shadow.                      Each time she refreshed the screen, it seemed like everyone else was living their best lives. Friends posted pictures from exotic vacations, selfies at glamorous events, and perfectly curated meals. Sophie began to feel the weight of comparison, a growing sense of inadequacy that gnawed at her. “Why don’t I have that?” she thought, biting her lip. “Why can’t I be that happy?”                 ...

My Best Friend Gifty At Unimac

Image
The day I met Gifty, I didn’t know I was about to find someone who’d become my second half. It was back in school, just an ordinary day that turned into something unforgettable. She walked in with the brightest smile and the kind of presence you can’t ignore. Her dark skin glowed like sunshine on cocoa, and her energy? Pure magic.                       The day I met Gifty, I didn’t know I was about to find someone who’d become my second half. My favourite food, Banku and okro stew

Image
There is one food that always brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart—banku and okro stew. From the very first time I tasted it, I knew it would become my all-time favourite.                           It all started at my grandmother’s house in the village. The aroma of fresh okro stew simmering on the firewood stove filled the air. She stirred it with love, adding chopped okro, fresh tomatoes, onions, and a mix of spices that made my mouth water. She tossed in some crabs, tilapia, and pieces of goat meat, letting them soak up all the flavors. Meanwhile, she mixed the fermented corn and cassava dough to prepare the banku, stirring it steadily in the pot until it became smooth and stretchy.                        When it was finally ready, she served it hot, the steam risin...
